Hi again,
Just got back from our dinner and walkabout around the harbor.
I scored a "Visitor Pass" for 1 hour of free Internet access and so I'm coming to you from the S'bux across the road from the Y. The connection is speedy and so far, flawless.
Dinner at Dan Ryan's didn't disappoint. Steak was done perfectly and tasted great (AR and Mom liked theirs as well.) We got there a little early for our 6:30 reservation, but they seated us anyway. Dylan chose not to nap this afternoon and he paid the price at dinner - he hit the wall in a big way. He passed out on the bench seat right at the table. We all felt so bad for him; he was so tired he could hardly hold his little head up. We let him sleep through the meal, while Kyle pounded Hot Dog #2 for the day.
After dinner, I scooped D-man up and carried him down to the waterfront, where we walked around and saw a really cool lantern display. He tried like heck to keep his head up, but he more resembled one of those Phillies bobble-heads, as he bobbed from side to side and front & back. He sat/leaned/was propped on Mom as we took in a few minutes of the "Festival of Lights" on the harbor. K-man was an absolute ttrooper tonight, since I was carrying Dylan from dinner all the way back to the hotel. My back kills...
The show was neat - most of the buildings are wired with outside lights and there was a series of lasers planted at the tops of some of the larger towers. It was a little underwhelming - it was more a random collection of lights than a choreographed & planned displays. Given the condition of the boys, we bailed.
The boys raced to bed again, and Mom was pre-planning the suitcase packing for the trek to Wuhan as I left.
I'm going to try again to post few photos in a moment or two - I got wiped out the last 2 times since the uploads were aborted as I hit my 20 minute limit - and the posts failed.
Gotta go - Wuhan awaits.
Later,
C
