On our first walkabout in HK, we saw a most auspicious street sign...
Here we are at HK Harbor waterfront in front of the KAWS (you'll have to ask Lisa about this, as I'm just the lowly scribe and know nothing of its significance - if it has any!)
On the waterfront at HK Harbor
Starting our Cable Car journey out to see the "Big Buddha". Mom & AR's smiles soon disappeared when the cable car swung out from the station platform and started climbing quickly and high.
Dad and da Boyeeezz, much more comfortable with the immense heights ans swaying car!
At the end of the cable car ride, there was a path lined with stores & two theaters, and of course the obligatory tourist cut-outs. Little Buddhas Kyle and Dylan pose with the Big Buddha.
We took a pause just before we embarked on our journey of enlightenment and righteousness up the steps to the real Big Buddha.
Mom fired up an incense offering to the Big Buddha with her secret wish for Baby Ashley. What you don't see is that moments after this was taken she was nearly overcome with a face-full of incense smoke when the wind shifted! Not good - her eyes burned and she could hardly breathe!!
Here are the fellas posing with one of the Monkeys from the "Monkey Tales" show.
This was a cute little show about the virtues of cooperation, as demonstrated by three mischievous monkeys.
(Disney-ish, but not Disney-like.)
Here we are about to board the return cable car to the train station...
