Checking In...

Hi on Wednesday afternoon,

We are holed up here at the hotel until about 2PM - when we are scheduled to leave here for a sightseeing trip to the Yellow Crane Tower (weather permitting).  We're looking forward to an afternoon with our most excellent guide Mr. Grant.

We're recuperating from our morning walk.  We had a pretty good breakfast downstairs, and then we headed out for a stroll up & down the streets in the neighborhood of the hotel.  We walked about 2 miles (!) in the cool damp morning Wuhan air/smog.  The boys alternated taking turns pushing Ashley's stroller - this was as challenging as any of their DS games since the sidewalks were jammed with people, vendors, cars, bikes and scooters - sometimes all at once!  The kids had their light coats on and Mom & AR had on rain/windbreakers.  There were dozens of older folks we passed that commented on the fact that Ashley's legs were exposed to the elements - she was very comfortable, though and actually fell asleep for a while.
